MissionCIT: Elevating Fire Training at Rocky Hill

Our ongoing relationship with the Rocky Hill CT Fire Department, located in Rocky Hill, CT, perfectly embodies this philosophy. Most importantly, our mission is to empower firefighters with the knowledge and skills they need to excel. This commitment is exemplified in our ongoing relationship with the Rocky Hill Fire Department, and we were incredibly grateful to receive this heartfelt message recently:Â

This quote truly reflects our core values. Here, we strive to be more than just training providers. We see ourselves as integral partners in helping Rocky Hill Fire Department reach its highest potential.
For the past six months, we have worked closely with the Rocky Hill CT team to deliver specialized training in a range of critical areas. This includes a fire officer development program, cultivating leadership skills for the next generation of fire officers, as well as engine company operations, where firefighters master techniques for effective water delivery and suppression. Also, we’ve provided training in vertical ventilation, understanding strategies to safely and effectively remove smoke and heat, along with search and rescue, where we hone skills for rapid and efficient victim location and extraction.
Additionally, our training extends to extrication, utilizing tools and techniques for vehicle accident rescue, and forcible entry, learning proper methods for gaining entry to locked structures. We ensure departments are implementing accountability systems for firefighter safety and well-being, and provide training in thermal imager use, utilizing technology to see through smoke and locate victims and fire sources. We focus on ladder company positioning, mastering the art of proper ladder placement for optimal rescue and access, and standpipe training, understanding and efficiently using these vital systems in multi-story structures.
Additionally, our training includes live fire exercises, providing realistic scenarios for practicing fire attack skills, entry-level recruit prep, preparing the next generation of firefighters for the challenges ahead, and a comprehensive understanding in fire dynamics, building a deep understanding of fire behavior and science.
