How many Topics are in the Initial EMT Content Package?
48: 46 core curriculum Topics organized by the content areas of the NHTSA National EMS Education Standards, plus a Clinical Ride Time guide and a Testing Essentials module that prepares learners for the NREMT EMT cognitive exam.
Is Prep & Pass included?
Prep & Pass NREMT exam preparation is included in Command Complete. It is not part of Command Core. It is kept current with the newest TEI question formats and includes seven NREMT study guides, practice questions, timed exams, flashcards, and glossaries.
Is the printed workbook included?
Both packages include the interactive workbook. Command Complete includes the printed two-volume workbook. With Command Core, the printed workbook is available as an add-on. Printed workbooks are drop-shipped to the program.
Does the package include state course approval or accreditation?
No. The Initial EMT Content Package is a content license. The licensing agency or program obtains its own state course approval and course number and conveys credit to its learners. MissionCIT provides standards-aligned content and documentation to support the approval process.
How often is the content updated?
MissionCIT updates the curriculum as soon as AHA guidelines or national EMS standards change, and fully revamps the entire Initial EMT content set every two years.
Can instructors add their own material and local protocols?
Yes. Instructors can add files, links, and protocol notes to any Topic, and can adapt the PowerPoint decks to their cohort.
What is EMS Mentor?
EMS Mentor is a question-and-answer engine that draws its answers only from validated, expert-reviewed content, so learners get the right answer with no conflicting information. Learners ask in plain language, on their own time, and get answers consistent with what they were taught. It extends the classroom; it does not replace the instructor.
Who writes the content?
EMS educators and subject-matter experts. The content is human-authored, reflects the knowledge and competencies assessed by the NREMT, and is the same curriculum MissionCIT teaches in its own EMS programs.
