Unless your state names specific education. Where it does, that training belongs here instead, and you complete it separately — check with your state EMS office.

At least 10% of National Component hours must be pediatric. Pediatric content is built into the topics above rather than taught as a separate block.

Completing the program

  • Complete every course in the program.
  • The program must be 100% complete before a certificate is issued.
  • Certificates are issued to the name and email on your registration — check both are correct before you start.
  • Your certificate is emailed within 24 hours of completion.

Reporting your hours

We report your completion to CAPCE within 24 hours of you finishing the program. Your hours then post to your National Registry account from CAPCE. You submit your recertification application yourself, through your own National Registry account at nremt.org.

Because this program is CAPCE accredited, it is accepted by the National Registry and by states that recognize CAPCE-accredited continuing education. If you recertify through a state-only pathway, check with your state office how these hours are credited.
