If the poison has been ingested, the following signs are your clue.

  • Burns or stains around the mouth.
  • Unusual breath odors, body odors, or odors on clothing or at the scene.
  • Abnormal breathing.
  • Abnormal pulse rate and rhythm.
  • Sweating.
  • Dilated or constricted pupils.
  • Excessive saliva.
  • Foaming at the mouth.
  • Burning in mouth and throat.
  • Painful to swallow.
  • Abdominal pain.
  • Upset stomach or nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
  • Convulsions.
