
“To be the best, train with the best “… Peter Morotto currently serves as a Captain for the city of Bridgeport CT, fire department and leads the MissionCIT Fire Service Training Practice. He has been in the fire service for 25 years, educated in fire science from the University of New Haven, and attaining the fire Officer 4 certification level.
He has had the privilege of serving on some of the busiest fire companies in the city with most of the time spent on the Heavy Rescue.
Peter has a passion for teaching and mentoring today’s fire service.  He serves as a recruiting coordinator for the Connecticut fire academy. In addition, he is an adjunct instructor for Fairfield, Wolcott, and Litchfield County Regional fire schools, while also owning and operating very successful private fire training and consulting businesses (Fire Training Innovations).
Peter has taught on the national circuit at various trade show conferences, both classroom, and H.O.T. classes. In addition, Peter has an extensive successful grant award track record acquiring almost five million dollars in A.F.G. grants for the city of Bridgeport F.D. over the last six years. Finally, Peter prides himself on giving back the knowledge and experience passed on to him from some of the best firefighters that the northeast offers.
