OSHA Care Ch 05 | Working at Heights | Fall Protection and Rescue Fundamentals

The goal of this training is to provide the basic knowledge needed to recognize and avoid hazards associated with working at heights.

This training program will help prepare you to:

  • Work at heights safely and in compliance with all required regulations to select, inspect, and use industry-standard personal fall arrest equipment, including a harness and lanyard
  • Perform an at heights rescue

Due to the substantial number injuries and deaths from falls across workplaces, employers are now required to provide their workers with fall protection training when these employees are working at heights or exposed to fall hazards. Most of the reported injuries and deaths are due directly to workers not abiding by the fundamentals of fall prevention.

The Working at Heights training program has been implemented to eliminate injuries and deaths from falls, even from heights of no more than two meters.
