An Excerpt from the Course Introduction

We are now going to discuss the last module, cardiovascular.

Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death worldwide. This module will help you develop your skills regarding changes in breathing patterns, dysfunctions, and disease in the cardiac system. 

With 03 hours and 02 minutes of lessons and tests, this module more than meets the 02 hours 30 minutes standard.

The first segment demonstrates the anatomy of the heart, pathophysiology of the heart, care during cardiac emergencies, return of spontaneous circulation, cardiac arrest, and pediatric cardiac emergencies.

On completion of the Post-Resuscitation Care segment, you will be able to:

  • Identify the signs associated with the Return of Spontaneous Circulation (ROSC)
  • Effectively manage hemodynamic instability
  • Investigate possible causes of cardiac arrest:
    • Make appropriate treatment choices based on the cause, and
    • Determine appropriate destination
  • Describe the process of induced hypothermia
